Aerospace Startup - Fluxart is chosen by Net Zero Technology Centre to pitch into investors from ADNOC, bp and Equinor - both their technology and corporate Venture Capital team are working to invest.
Growth of aviation is significant globally, post pandemic there's more CO2 being burned by planes than in 2019. Fluxart calculated based on ICAO that in the life of an aircraft 1kg reduction in weight becomes 25,000 Tons of CO2 over the life of an aircraft - and Fluxart can save significant weight of electric motors reducing them by 75% and as they scale this becomes more significant as it sizes the wing and the whole aircraft.
Aviation is a contributor to global warming, including through the emissions of carbon dioxide and the formation of contrails high up in the atmosphere. Globally, save for the few years of the pandemic, air travel is expected to continue to grow in the future, increasing the impact on climate change unless a close to net zero form of flying can be developed or any residual emissions offset by removals.

If low carbon emission jet fuels are to have a strong positive impact on the UK’s Road to Net zero, it is important that the alternative fuels adopted are truly beneficial to the fight against the climate crisis and do not cause unacceptable collateral ecological damage.
With increased power density of the propulsion unit, the overall weight of the aircraft with hydrogen will be less than that of today’s kerosene burning engines, and the advantage will come in the form of direct operating cost savings to the Airlines.
Our investment round is open for Seed funding and we are pleased to hear from those who are keen to accelerate the pathway to Zero Emissions, True Zero mobility. Those who take the moment to find us will also be in for a great opportunity to increase their stake in climate action, and build on the UK Research and Innovation Zero Emissions Propulsion aims.
